Nixon’s journey is the heartbeat of our foundation. In February 2018, Nixon, an energetic and imaginative child who loved sports and building Legos with his three brothers, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma—a formidable bone cancer. What began as intermittent leg pain soon led to a life-altering diagnosis. Despite undergoing a complex rotationplasty surgery and enduring rigorous chemotherapy, Nixon’s resilience never wavered. His courage and the overwhelming support from our community inspired the creation of the NixonStrong Foundation, aiming to extend hope and assistance to other families navigating similar battles.
