Living in the Aftermath

Introduction:
Lyndsey Hackford is a domestic violence survivor, advocate, public speaker, and host of the podcast Living in the Aftermath. After surviving nearly two decades of abuse, Lyndsey began sharing her story to help others recognize the forms of abuse that often go unseen, including coercive control, emotional abuse, isolation, and the gradual loss of self. Today, she serves on the Board of Directors for The Refuge Utah and uses both her lived experience and advocacy work to educate communities about healthy relationships, trauma, healing, and life after abuse. Through speaking and podcasting, Lyndsey creates conversations that help survivors feel seen while giving others a deeper understanding of what abuse can actually look like. Her work centers on transforming trauma into awareness, action, and hope.
