Karen Larsen Brown began her work at Saprea in 2017. She is Vice President of Program Fulfillment and is passionate about ending the epidemic of child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. Karen directs a team that focuses on bringing healing and prevention tools to individuals, families, organizations, and communities all over the world. She helped to develop and oversee the Saprea Support Group service line and Community Education program and now oversees the language translation efforts to help bring resources to more audiences. A recent addition to her responsibilities is managing the Intake Team, who are responsible for participants who attend the Saprea Retreat and the Healing Webinar. Her team also drives events and volunteer engagement. In her past experience, Karen has worked to help bring training in trauma-sensitive interventions to social workers and caregivers who work with children. She also spent 10 years helping those struggling with substance use disorder find recovery resources. Karen holds a master’s degree in organizational management and has a strong track record for building successful teams. She currently resides in Utah with her husband, their three teenage kids, and their adorable labradoodle, Nova. Karen loves spending time with her family and enjoys reading, traveling, baking, and hiking the beautiful red rocks of her home state.
